BACKGROUND
A-plus General Insurance is a duly registered Insurance company with the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA). We have been in existence since 2013 and have grown from a single offce to 7 branches across the country with more than sixty (60) employees. The company hereby invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Assistant Sales Manager for our Lusaka, Mongu, Kitwe and Livingstone branches.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
The Assistant Sales Manager reports to the Director Sales and Marketing and is responsible for meeting the sales targets of the organization through effective selling of various general insurance products.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the targets are realistic and achievable.
- Devises strategies and techniques necessaryforachieving the sales targets.
- To maintain accurate sales records and ensure existing clients are reminded to renew insurance policies on time.
- Prepare annual sales budgets using excel
- Prepareweekly, monthly and annual reports using MS excel, MS word, and make a presentation using PowerPoint.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of five (5) Credits which must include mathematics and english.
- Certificate in Insurance
- Adegreein Marketing and Sales will bean added advantage
- Minimum of three years work experience in Sales and Marketing in a reputable organisation
- Clean drivers license
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- A mature Zambian citizen
- Computer literate
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Able to work under minimum supervision.
