Description

Manage and lead workshop staff in allocating workload and managing the day to day operations in the workshop. Coordinate the staff, jobs and resources to ensure work is delivered on time.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • In charge of the whole workshop operations including mechanical, panel beating and spray painting departments.
  • Plan and develop work schedules for workshop staff
  • Ensure all jobs are completed on date and time schedule
  • Ensure no re-works on jobs completed
  • Approve all quality checks prior to vehicle movement for use
  • Responsible and accountable for all jobs completed
  • Make sure all equipment and tools are in good working condition
  • Provide technical advice to management on key project areas of the workshop business
  • Ensure scheduling of regular maintenance of all vehicles and workshop equipment
  • Responsible for discipline and proper behavior of all workshop staff

REQUIREMENTS;

  • Minimum of diploma in heavy duty mechanics
  • Knowledge of auto electrical will be an added advantage
  • 5 years work experience in a similar or related position in a formal organization
  • Proved technical and mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of workshop processes and practices
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Qualification and membership in logistics and transport (CILT)
