Description

Reporting and Project management of construction site and reporting to directly to the Infrastructure and Housing Development Project (Project Coordinators) for administrative purposes. The job holder shall be responsible for planning, coordination, monitoring and supervision of all engineering works undertaken in the districts, in order to ensure projects completion within timeframe, cost and quality specifications for improved service delivery.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/ Mechanical/ Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Building Science from any recognized Institution in Zambia.
  • Should have a full Grade 12 certificate.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP:

  • Must be a member of any relevant Professional Institution in Zambia with a valid Practicing License.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five (5No.) year’s relevant experience in similar works.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring and supervision of the construction works and site management of sites that are currently been undertaking, in order to ensure projects completion within timeframe, cost and quality specifications for improved service delivery.
  • Ensures the contractors and consultants adhere to the stipulated Terms of Reference and specification of works during execution of works.
  • Prepares monthly project progress reports for Management information and decision making.
  • Liaises with the District Manager to ensure smooth and effective operations for improved service delivery
  • Prepares project proposals for the company in order to attract financing.
  • Proposes improvements in the design and deployment of housing units been developed.
  • Monitors adherence to occupational health and safety on site and to ensure safe operating environment for all staff in the company by initiating emergency drills and spot audits.
