Legal Officer at Chimas Properties and General Dealers Ltd

To supervise and undertake the preparation of agreements/contracts of sale in order to ensure that all legal intentions of the company are achieved.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Monitor legal risk in the documentation and advise clients accordingly.
• Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for real estate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate real estate transactions.
• Draft routine leases and amendments
• Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before real estate transactions are executed.
• Manage regulatory and compliance-related services.
• Represent the company in purchases and sales of properties.
• Defend the municipal code litigation.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have:

• Full Grade Twelve (12)/Form Five 5 School Certificate with a
• minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Level credits
• including English Language and Mathematics;
• Minimum age of twenty-five (25) years;
• Bachelor of Laws Degree;
• Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Zambia
• Be a paid-up member with a valid practicing license from the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ)
