We are looking for a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization’s operations

Job Purpose

Oversees the daily workings of operations. Plan, manage and implement schedules to ensure deadlines are met, and maintain a high quality standard of procedure and delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline employees
  • Review all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment
  • Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Track vendor pricing, rebates and service levels
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
  • Manage budgets and forecasts
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI’s
  • Assist HR in the Recruitment, training and supervision of staff
  • Find ways to increase quality of organization client relations
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout and implement changes to streamline operations
  • Responsible for all department supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees

Qualifications & Requirements

  • First Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years working experience in relevant field and Industry
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Conversant with customs requirements including Imports and Exports
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written and Verbal
  • Conversant with Microsoft suit of applications Esp. Excel and Word
  • Production and Planning Skills Required
  • Understanding of Stock Management Systems; Ability to Manage Time and Workload
  • Leadership Skills; Experience in Negotiating and Working With clients
  • Knowledge of Logistics supply chain & Transport management
  • Must have professional appearance and attitude
