Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for a full-time position as an Assistant Human Resources officer, for its Clothes and Shoes project.

The position is tenable in Ndola.

DAPP registered in 1990 as a national non-profit association with its HQ on the Copperbelt. The objective of DAPP is, through the implementation of projects, to empower people with knowledge, skills and tools to improve their living conditions.

DAPP seeks to build hope and to make disadvantaged people to stick together to fend for their families and communities. DAPP and the communities work in partnerships for health, water, sanitation and hygiene, child development, primary education, teacher training, human rights, economic empowerment, agriculture and environment through projects.

DAPP has an income generating leg by selling second hand clothes. DAPP has over 1200 employees. DAPP is a member of the International Federation Humana People to People.

1. Purpose of Role

The principal purpose of the role is to support the project Human Resources Officer, the national human Resources team and the leadership and employees in the Clothes and Shoes project, on all human resources matters, and thereby contribute to the success of the project and DAPP in Zambia.

2. Required Qualifications

  • Certificate in Human Resources Management. Diploma will be an added advantage.
  • Membership of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience in Human Resources Administration/Management

3. Desirable skills

  • High Level of communication skills, with experience in preparing correspondence and other written materials
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • High level in Microsoft Programs, particularly Excel
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning employees and employee records
  • High level of personal integrity
