Purpose of Job
This post will support the Finance Manager in delivering assurances to the Head of DFIDZ concerning the office’s financial position and current performance, so that effective action is taken on a timely basis. He/she will provide regular, good quality financial information and analysis to DFIDZ, to the Finance Manager and relevant finance staff at DFID HQ. The post has a key role to play in providing and embedding high quality financial management across DFIDZ. The job holder will report to the Finance Manager.
The post holder will also provide commercial support to teams and assume the
Departmental Procurement Officer role.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Financial Analyst (40%)
Commercial advice and support to programme teams (40%)
Departmental Procurement Officer (15%)
Administrative (5%)
