Expanded Church Response (ECR) is a faith-based organization implementing: Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Gender Based Violence and HIV/AIDS programs amongst others to mitigate human suffering and bring transformational development.

POSITION: Families Matter! Program Coordinator (s) – 6 Positions

LOCATION: Petauke, Chipata, Lundazi, Monze, Mongu and Chongwe

REPORTS TO: Project Manager – Prevention

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Prevention Manager, the Families Matter Program (FMP) Coordinators will supervise 96 facilitators who will facilitate the Families Matter! Program and life skills trainings to reach 27,500 parents & guardians, and 55,000 adolescent girls and boys. The Coordinators will on day-to-day basis monitor all FMP, Faith Matters and life skills activities to ensure fidelity on the program. The FMP Coordinators will be based in the eleven districts. The Coordinators will work hand in hand with District Coordinators to ensure that referrals for other HIV/Sexual Gender Based Violence services are done in a well-coordinated manner. They will contribute 100% of their time to the project.

Key Qualifications

  • Degree in any Social Science will be an added advantage

  • Diploma in any Field
  • Required Skills

  • Two (2) years’ experience or more in accounting under a USAID or Donor funded project

  • Has done project coordination work on any USAID and other Donor agency projects

  • POSITION: Regional Church Liaison Coordinators  – 2 positions

    LOCATION: Lusaka and TBA

    REPORTS TO: Project Manager – Prevention

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Reporting to the Project manager – Prevention, the Church Liaison Coordinators (CLCs) will be responsible for church development by effectively engaging the faith community and traditional leaders on their participation into the project. The staff will deliver this objective through developing and sustaining relationships with churches and individuals at various levels. The CLCs will ensure that relationships with church leaders and faith communities are maintained through effective communication, creating and updating databases, development of strategies for the participation of Faith Communities in development issues for Sexual Gender Based Violence and HIV prevention and referrals for HIV treatment and related issues for adolescents and the general population. They will work closely with District Coordinators for effective mobilization of the churches for participation, involve churches in implementing activities and meeting targets, effectively monitor and report activities carried out by the churches, maintaining relationships with faith leaders, volunteers. They will also be responsible for building capacity of the church institutions for sustainability. The CLCs will contribute 100% of their time to the project.

  • Degree in theology or any Social Science course will be an added advantage

  • POSITION:  Monitoring and Evaluation Manager – 1 position

    LOCATION: Lusaka

    REPORTS TO: Project Director

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    The M&E Manager will be responsible for overseeing all M&E aspects of the project, from assessments to routine monitoring activities and evaluations. S/he will lead the development of and manage the M&E Plan. S/he will ensure timely collection and reporting of indicators to the donor, and work with the Project Director and partners, to ensure appropriate mechanisms for M&E management tools to enable maximum achievement of the project’s objectives and tracking progress towards results. This function will involve the application of M&E frameworks, performance-based results and process indicators, measurement methods, and periodic reviews to identify factors that facilitate and impede the program’s and its partners’ progress. The M&E Manager will report to the Project Director will dedicate 100% of their time to the project.

    Key Qualifications

  • Masters in any Monitoring and Evaluation or any Social Science field will be an added advantage

  • Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Required Skills

  • Five (5) years or more experience in Monitoring and Evaluation

  • POSITION: Finance Manager – 1 position

    LOCATION: Lusaka

    REPORTS TO: Director Finance and Operations

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Finance Manager will be attached to a project and will ensure compliance with donor regulations, organizational and statutory policies and regulations and ensuring proper maintenance of financial records. S/he will be responsible for budgeting, reporting and overall grant proper financial management. Additionally, s/he will ensure data integrity in the accounting package, including reviewing preparing and consolidating balance sheets and accounts reconciliation. Other tasks may include ensuring proper maintenance of financial documentation and supervision of Finance Officers.

    Key Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or related field will be an added advantage

  • Recognized accounting qualification; full ACCA, CIMA, ZICA
  • Required Skills

  • Seven (7) years’ experience or more in grants management, experience in USG/EU grants and donor reporting will be an added advantage

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

  • Understanding and use of Accounting packages (QuickBooks accounting package)

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Project Accountants (PAs) will be responsible over timely fund disbursement and capturing transactions and reporting expenditure. The PAs will work closely with programs staff to ensure activities are implemented on time and quality retirements are submitted on time. They will be in charge of the bank and petty cash management and proper record keeping. The positions will contribute 100% of their time to the project.

    Key Qualifications

  • Degree in any Accounts or Finance will be an added advantage

  • Diploma in accounts or any Finance field

  • Recognized accounting qualification; ACCA, CIMA, ZICA

    The Provincial Coordinator shall coordinate all the project activities for all sub-partners in Lusaka Province that are implementing partners for ECR under ZAMFAM. S/he will be in charge of District Coordinators under the ZAMFAM project in Lusaka District. They will contribute 100% of their time to the project.

    REPORTS TO: Regional Church Development and Liaison Coordinator

    POSITION/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    The District Coordinators will be responsible for the overall coordination of the project in the district. They will provide support to the faith community, including community volunteers and the project team in planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. The position will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the project at district level, ensuring smooth implementation of activities and foster coordination and linkages with churches, treatment partners, public and private structures and other stakeholders. They will manage Men’s networks, Community Volunteers; GROW clubs and work hand in hand to ensure effective referrals for HIV services. The DCs will report to the Church Liaison Coordinators to ensure effective mobilization and participation of the Faith Community.

    The DCs will be based in the eleven districts, each managing a district. They will contribute 100% of their time to the project.

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    The staff will be responsible over all administrative issues and will ensure smooth running of operations at the Secretariat. The AAs will support all staff on all administrative matters. The AA will be responsible over all vendor identification and engagement. S/he will ensure that logistics, inventory, assets and other administrative tasks on the project are efficiently and economically managed. The positions will contribute 100% of their time to the project.

    Key Qualifications

  • Degree in any administrative course will be an added advantage

  • Diploma in an administrative course or any Field
