The combination of the First Quantum and Inmet assets has created one of the world’s leading copper producers with a geographically diversified portfolio of high-quality operations and development projects in eight countries across five continents.

With a strategic plan to produce more than 1 million tonnes per annum of copper within five years, the Company is poised to become the largest, widely-held pure-play copper producer and one of the top five copper producers in the world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day to day Operations of the Mine Maintenance department.
  • Provide best equipment performance and high level of customer service to the Mine. (Ultra Class included)
  • Ensure safe work practices are established and observed within the maintenance department.
  • Provide a high level of support to the Mine Operations Manager and subordinate superintendents to meet their performance goals.
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma (Mechanical / Electrical Engineering) is critical.
  • Relevant certification at a supervisory level.
  • At least 5+ years in a senior supervisory role.
Experience & Skills:
  • Extensive experience with heavy mining equipment including Electric rope or hydraulic Mining Shovels, Electric driven skills, Electric trucks and various ancillary equipment.
  • Able to implement and manage high level maintenance strategy and equipment operational and capital budgets.
  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years’ experience in a senior maintenance management role.
  • Experience in Mining or other heavy industry essential.
