ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:

• Implementing G4S Zambia Health and Safety Management systems


• Ensuring compliance with National legal requirements, G4S Group requirements and best industry practice in regards to Health, Safety and Environment


• Guide G4S Zambia Safety Committees in line with Health and Safety Committee Rules


• Conduct workplace inspections and recommending sound corrective actions so as to ensure continual improvement.


• Spearhead incident investigations and establish root causes as well as ensure corrective measures are put in place to avoid recurrence


• Facilitate Environment, Health and Safety capacity building within the organization.


• Maintain Environment, Health and Safety database and communicate relevant EHS statistics


• Facilitate risk and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments

Must have:

• University Degree in Health & Safety related discipline


• Minimum Three years experience as a Health & Safety Officer


• Strong communication skills


• Knowledge of HR policy, procedures, systems and best practices


• Presentation skills


• Excel, Word and Power Point skills desirable
