Intern Psychiatric Nurse at Great North Road Academy Rehab Centre

Great North Road Academy Rehab Centre, a subsidiary of Great North Road Academy Group of Companies is looking for a selfless and committed intern to work as a Psychiatric Nurse.

When working with patients, the ideal candidate is expected to start by interviewing and assessing them to learn about their history, symptoms, other ailments, and daily habits. The rehab centre psychiatric nurse intern will be expected to work with people who have

• Anxiety disorders, like panic attacks and phobias;
• Mood disorders, including bipolar disorder and depression;
• Issues with substance abuse, such as drugs and alcohol;
• Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

As psychiatric nurse, you will also be expected to work closely with treatment teams to develop individualized patient plans, aiming to maximize care and help patients live productive lives. Lastly, provide individual counselling to patients and families to help them understand the illness.

REQUIREMENTS

• Registered with General Nursing Council
• Minimum diploma Psychiatric Nursing
