Finance Accountant at Hotel in Lusaka

Required: Charted Accountant that will manage the financials of a boutique hotel with multiple food and beverage outlets, including executive accommodation. Must be well versed with local reporting laws and regulations and be able to work under pressure whilst preparing accurate financial statements for management review. Should be able to come up to speed with various financial systems.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of finance experience in hospitality industry

Qualification: Member of ZICA and Full CIMA or ACCA

Skills

• Preparation of income statements, reviewing and ensuring accurate booking into General and Sub ledgers
• Conducting periodic audits on various systems so ensure accurate financials are being presented
• Management of daily banking and reconciliations.
• Cash flow forecasts, assisting with the preparation of management accounts
• Handling stock taking & spot-check on a periodically
• Checking payroll input and final reports,
• Ensuring that tax returns & tax planning are done efficiently
• Attend all Zambia Revenue Authority queries
• Manage subordinates and provide direction
• Preparation of budgets & Capex
• Work with various departments across to ensure input of financials information is accurate and timely
• Work with various finance related systems (Payroll, Procurement, Reporting)
