PROGRAM OFFICER

Overview: The Program Offer under guidance of the HW21 Team Lead and Senior Program Officer will lead the program component of the HW21 and CDC funded Training project including managing each project’s workplan and budget, manage administration of project sub-awards, and provide logistical support to project activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate development of annual and quarterly workplans and budget
  • Develop and monitor annual procurement plans
  • Monitor project budgets including routine updates of cost monitoring project management tools.
  • Monitor progress of quarterly workplans and present analysis
  • Manage change control for the project team including reviewing change requests, assessing impact on scope, schedule and cost and make recommendations to Project Leads.
  • Identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans
  • Ensure approvals for activities submitted in line with Jhpiego policy.
  • Working with Grants Manager, monitor project sub-awards according to Jhpiego policies.
  • Supervise HW21 Program Assistant

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration/management with 6-7 years’ experience
  • Experience in Office management for projects funded by international donors (knowledge of US Government regulations preferred but not a must)
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and Word Perfect applications
  • Able to handle a variety of assignments sometimes under pressure of deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, leadership, supervisory and conflict management skills
  • Ability to supervise in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to achieve desired results
  • Ability to travel to the project sites as needed.
