Auto Electrician, Boiler Maker & Crane Operator

Joe’s Earthworks & Mining  Limited (JEM) an earthworks and mining company based on the Copperbelt is inviting applications for the following full-time positions:

Job Title: Auto Electrician

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Auto Electrical
• Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)

Skills & experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Ability to diagnose electrical malfunctions within automotive systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Analytical skills
• Complex problem solving
• Ability to install electrical systems
• Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical wiring
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to communicate vehicle issues in layman’s terms
• Ability to work in a changing environment

Job Title: Boiler Maker

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Metal Fabrication from a recognized institution
• Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)

Skills & experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Able to read, understand and reference maintenance manuals
• Able to interpret fabrication drawings and draw sketches
• Able to fabricate from drawings, welding and developments
• Fabrication, modification and/or rectification of steelwork and/or pipe work or template marking/repairs
• Able to read blue prints and calculate material requirement

Job Title: Crane Operator

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Crane Operators Certificate
• Driver’s License
•  Minimum 3 years working experience will be required

Skills/Competence

Must be able operate a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.  Must ensure load is safely attached to crane before bringing it down.
