Occupational Health Nurses at Konkola Copper Mines

Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) is one of the largest copper producers in Zambia. It operates underground and open pit mines as well as metallurgical plants with operations located at Nchanga, Konkola, Nkana and Nampundwe. KCM’s operations include a state-of-the-art smelter, open pit and underground mines and a refinery. KCM’s vision is to leverage minerals and human resources to enhance stakeholder value and Zambia’s pride. To support this vision KCM wants to recruit experienced and qualified individuals for the following senior position in the Medical Department:

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSES

The successful candidates will be:

• Responsible for the activities of the clinic/centre
• Responsible for the health & safety of subordinates & clients
• Responsible for screening patients, recommending light duty & unfit to work to employees
• Writing reports and submitting them to relevant authority in good time
• Participating fully in work place visitation programmes and giving reports thereafter
• Ensuring thal wellness programmes are adhered to
• Making call outs for health surveillance defaulters
• Managing departmental expenses within the budget

Qualifications/Requirements

• Diploma in General Nursing
• Cenificate in Occupational Health Practice.
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Registered with the General Nursing Council of Zambia
