CCTV Administrator at Lubambe Copper Mine

Lubambe Copper Mine is located within the Greater Konkola Area of the Zambian Copperbelt and consists of a large – scale mining license covering an area of approximately 240 square kilometres. The mine is a modern, world class facility with fully mechanized underground operations.

Lubambe Copper Mine is owned by EMR Capital of Australia (80%) and ZCCM – Investments Holdings (20%).

The Mine is currently in a ramp up stage and will ultimately produce 45, 000 tonnes of contained copper and will employ approximately 1,500 people. The Plant infrastructure consists of a Concentrator plant, a laboratory and underground infrastructure. The Concentrator incorporates crushing, milling, flotation and filtration. The design capacity is 2.5 MTPA of ore at an average mill grade of 2.3% copper, yielding 45,000 tonnes of contained copper in concentrate to be sold to smelters in Zambia.

Lubambe Copper Mine seeks to employ experienced and qualified individuals in the following position:

CCTV ADMINISTRATOR

This position reports to the Security Manager.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To efficiently and timely respond to CCTV infrastructure challenges by way of service, maintenance and repair so as to prevent any down-time of the system.

Key Performance Areas/Indicators (KPA/Is):

• Design, specify, configure and install digital CCTV systems
• Design and delivery of staff/operators training and development in respect of CCTV procedures
• Maintain and upgrade existing CCTV systems needed. Support users of CCTV systems
• Establish working relationship with vendors and contractors pertaining to CCTV systems.
• Assist with the configuration, deployment and support of networks assets.
• Perform all other delegated tasks assigned by Risk, Security & Compliance Department.

Academic Qualifications and Experience

• Grade twelve with five O levels which must include English.
• Diploma in IT hardware and networking with 5 years experience.
• Certified CCTV installer and administrator will be an added advantage.
• Holder of a valid and clean drivers’ license

• Knowledge or experience with computer networking; wireless connectivity, cable management and switching
• Proven experience in backup and recovery procedures and system performance management
• Proven management of CCTV systems and troubleshooting
• People management experience
• Ability to Liaise with Government agencies (e.g. Zambia Police, ACC, DEC, ZICTA) and other stakeholders
• Ability to repair and replace CCTV components
• Ability to perform periodic Backup of CCTV footage
