Madison Health & Risk Management Limited invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Travel Insurance Assistant to be based at Head office Lusaka and Ndola Office branch

Reporting to the Head- Business Development the purpose and role of Travel Insurance assistant cum receptionist:

  • Travel Insurance business processing:  answer customer inquiries via phone, e-mail and in-person, submit claim reports, prepare certificates of insurance and medical cards, filing, and prepare correspondence, process changes to insurance policies.
  • Support Agents:  quote Travel Insurance business; process new business; obtain sales leads;
  • Promote, quote, sell and solicit sales for both local and international travel Insurance products from the front office desk (reception) and manage front office and walking clients
  • Maintain all Travel insurance records and files.
  • Maintain Travel Insurance financial account system. Record all cash transactions and make bank deposits, premium accounts reconciliations and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain accurate Travel Insurance membership information by administering the membership renewal process, assigning new membership numbers, maintaining a paid listing of members as required in the Memorandum of Agreement with Travel Insurance partners, conducting the annual membership service check and by entering membership data into the membership system.
  • Maintain good communication with Travel Insurance partners on issues relating to membership and service programs.
  • Maintain good communication with the Sales & Marketing Teams within MHealth
  • Be familiar with and maintain a file of all permanent documents for Travel Insurance policies
  • Attend required training sessions and complete in office training as instructed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Head- Business Development

KEY QUALIFICATIONS, QUALITIES & ATTRIBUTES

  •  Full grade twelve certificate with at least a merit in Mathematics & English;
  • Previous Insurance experience preferred
  •  Bachelors Degree in any Business related course will be an added advantage;
  •  Function independently and responsibly with minimal need for supervision
  •  Effective verbal & written communication
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Well organized with excellent Computer skills;
  • Should be able to meet deadlines, be flexible and use initiative;
  • Should have good report writing skills
  • Ability to multi task and handle frequent interruptions
  • Outstanding technical skills including MsOffice applications
  • Strong people skills
  • Must be a team player
