Description

Master Academies is a social enterprise with a mission to provide quality and affordable early childhood education (ECE) and care to every child anywhere. There is a major shortage of preschools in Zambia and we believe one of the best ways to increase access for families is to grow supply through a network of preschools managed by qualified teachers. For example, the percentage of grade 1 entrants with preschool experience in 2016 was 29.8% (Ministry of General Education Bulletin, 2016). The aim of early childhood education and care is to provide developmental support and care for children in their formative years so that they can acquire the skills necessary for future learning and success in school. This success is expected to benefit the social and economic development of society at large.
