JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Managing Director, the general purpose of the role is to market both the Individual and Group business of the Company.

We are looking for a high-performing General Manager – Sales & Marketing, reporting to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will have to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

The responsibilities include,

  • Developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans.
  • Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets, achieving annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends; ensuring Sales Representative Recruitment,
  • Productivity, Quality and Persistency.
  • Spearhead profitable business performance of the Individual Life Business line, ultimate responsibility for manpower build-up, volumes of business and expansion of Agency sales force.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust system to manage Regional Managers, Team Leaders and Sales Representatives; ensure effective coordination with Branch Administrators, Customer
  • Support and other departments to ascertain and ensure smooth business processes in the Branch.
  • To ensure that in the team he heads, there is an environment where employee potential is maximized, Building relationships end understanding customer trends.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS.

  • A relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University;
  • ACII or equivalent
  • Preferably above 40 years of age
  • All round Life Insurance Management and Technical Skills
  • At least 5 years Senior Managerial experience in Life Insurance Institution
  • Knowledge of Accounting and Finance
  • Knowledge of Life products and Principles

REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Demonstrable experience as Head of Sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from prospecting to closure
  • Ability to adapt to new technological advances for sales process, distribution of products, training of sales personnel and servicing of the customers
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Lead all Branch Sales personnel end coordinate with seniors including those at Head Office.
  • Constant Recruitment of quality Sales Representatives and Training & Development of Regional Managers, Team Leaders and the Sales Representatives.
  • Help, assist and guide the Regional Managers end Team Leaders to recruit and train the Sales Representatives to procure the required business numbers.
  • Ensure that the business and product knowledge of the team is upgraded through regular checks and interventions.
  • Forecast future business trends and accurate evaluation of potential opportunities and devise ways and means of capitalizing on them.
  • Effective implementation of Strategies and Processes laid down by MLife.
  • Focus on market penetration in the territory and branch growth.
  • To achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly business targets
  • To motivate the Sales Staff various competitions, awards, contests and Reward & Recognition initiatives launched by the company.
  • Regular monitoring of Regional Managers, Team Leaders and sales representatives’ performance and conducting regular team meeting and performance review programs to take necessary corrective measures.
  • Facilitate Administrative and Operational supports to Regional Managers, Team Leaders and frontline Sales Representatives for smooth functioning.
  • MIS preparation, reporting to MD and adherence to Audit & Compliance as per company Standards.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Marketing of MLife products.
