We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:

MAINTENANCE CONTROLLER – KITWE

Contract: Permanent

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidates will be accountable for the following:

  • Assisting with the development of maintenance plan
  • Execution of maintenance activities
  • Ensuring that correct spares and correct tools are available
  • Conducting planned job observations and managing issues emanating from system usage reports
  • Ensuring asset care business process are adhered to
  • Implementing safety, health & environmental legislation and procedures
  • Ensuring that artisans execute maintenance plan to standard and optimise artisan time utilization and conducting engineering administration and support continuous improvement
  • Identifying problems or potential problems and facilitating problem solving
  • Facilitating effective team dynamics and implementing performance management
  • Ensuring that all team members are fully conversant with the manufacturing way and  Global Evaluation of Manufacturing (GEM)

The job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements and possess the following attributes:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • BSc Engineering degree – Mechanical or Electrical
  • Prior experience in a leadership position, within the FMCG environment
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing way strategies and initiatives
  • Good knowledge of packaging production processes and technologies
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Influencing ability with regards to sound maintenance practices
  • At least two years working experience in an FMCG
