OTK MANUFACTURING AND TRADING LIMITED is a private owned company operating in a construction industry in Makeni, Lusaka. We are the leading manufacturer and Supplier of Light steel channels ranging from different product specification namely: Wall Angles, OTK main Channel, OTK Studs, OTK Furring, Edge Trims, Conner Beads and many others. Currently the company is looking for a qualified ACCOUNTANT.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Holder of ZICA/CA Qualification, ACCA, or Equivalent
• Full Grade Twelve Certificate with credits or better in English and Mathematics is key
• Candidate must possess Highest levels of integrity, Accountability and Honesty
• Must have experience of handling Pastel Accounting – most preferably with certification
• Experience of not less than 2 years in the same capacity
• Registered Member of the “Zambia Institute Of Chattered Accountant.”

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare daily sales reports to provide to Management
• Prepare daily petty cash reports to provide to Management
• Prepare monthly payroll
• Ensure all transactions are entered into the Pastel system daily to update all statements
• Verify all cheques are deposited into the Company bank account
• Preparation of end of year financial statements, reports and payments
• Submission of VAT monthly returns
• Payments of NAPSA monthly returns, and ensure that the employee statements are collected on behalf of the employees every three months
• Processing of receipts daily
• Reconciliation for debtors/creditors
• Preparation of tax invoices and collection of money on behalf of the company
• Review daily bank statements to follow up with transactions
• Following up of bank deposits daily and filing relevant paperwork
• Quarterly review and updating of asset register
