Qualification requirements include:

  • Minimum Diploma in Marketing or any related fields
  • Experience and exposure to Marketing and Sales functions
  • Proven ability to manage Key Accounts and deal with people
  • A member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
  • A valid National (manual transmission) Driving Licence is essential

GENERAL OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan personnel and equipment requirements in order to achieve budgeted sales targets and exploit full sales possibilities of their zones.

  • Understand the market conditions and sales opportunities, and to plan your sales coverage utilizing this information. Regularly report to AREA MANAGER on the progress made within your zones and on all marketing opportunities or problems.

  • Plan and lay out all sales routes so that the major markets in the zones are aggressively flogged. Make sure that each route provides satisfactory product volume to the CUSTOMER EXECUTIVE and that each outlet is serviced on a regular scheduled basis with proper sequence of stops keeping excessive travel time and mileage costs to a minimum.

  • Train CUSTOMER EXECUTIVES in the requirements of their work by means of regular sales meetings, and by travelling with them. Show where sales or merchandising mistakes are made, to point out elements of the sales work which have been overlooked or neglected.

  • Submit activity reports to your supervisor on time. Reporting any new market intelligence, challenges and competitor activities, use these reports in effectively managing zone.

  • Appraise subordinates periodically using company appraisal system. Thereafter give commendation for a good performance.

  • To handle all customer complaints or revert to a superior.

  • Aggressively promote the sale of ESSENCE PRODUCTS at all special events taking place in you zone.

  • See that approved Company policy is followed in recommending the extension of credit, granting no credit until proper approval has been received and assist in the collection of all past due accounts in the zone

  • Carry out any other duties as required by the Sales Supervisor or management which may be assigned other than normal duties.
