Customer Service & Sales Rep

The Cake Bar – a pioneering and growing cafe, cakery and coffee destination – is looking for a young, energetic, bubbly personality to fill the role of a CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES REP


  • Manage incoming calls and outgoing calls in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Respond to client queries, comments and messages on various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and email.
  • Generate sales leads by using existing client database and building new ones.
  • Build sales by using assorted platforms (SMS, email, WhatsApp, calling, etc.) to advertise specials and any events
  • Build sustainable, long-term relationships and trust with clients through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information to clients and potential clients by using the right methods/tools.
  • Follow up with every client after they have received our product and service and ask them to review the company online on various social media platforms
  • Meet personal/customer service team sales targets and call-handling quotas
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Take the extra mile to engage customers
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction


  • Minimum Grade 12 certificate with A in English
  • At least 1-year experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a Call Centre will an added advantage
  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative and also as a sales rep
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone contact-handling skills and active listening
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in the face of difficult clients and situations.
  • Must have a sense of humour.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in vernacular.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Fast learner and ability to learn menu and products of The Cake Bar in detail.
