Description
The Art Gallery Manager is responsible for assembling, cataloguing, managing and presenting/displaying artistic and cultural collections.
Main duties consist of acquiring, collecting, and cataloging works of art, as well as ensuring their overall care – must also interact with artists and art buyers.
The Art Gallery Manager must be confident and have good interpersonal skills, a creative background and excellent written and oral skills.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of Diploma in a Fine Art or creative field
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office – Specifically Word and Excel (Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are not essential but considered a plus)
- Basic bookkeeping skills
- Knowledge of Social Media Management
