Accountant at Unity Finance

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, documenting and entering transactions.

Job Duties:

• Prepare, document and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintain and balance any applicable subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist Senior Accountant with monthly audit file reconciliations.
• Provide information and schedules for auditors.
• Prepare monthly VAT and WHT returns.
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Requirements:

• Accounting qualifications, ACCA or equivalent preferred
• ZICA membership
• 3 to 5 years working experience in accounting field
• Knowledge/experience in accounting function of banking/financial institutions is a plus.
