Description
WeForest is looking for a Driver to help with field work in and to its forest restoration projects in Zambia. Working closely with the field extensionists, the driver will make sure everything happens on time. In specific, the driver will work predominantly in the Copperbelt.
Terms & Conditions
Start date: As soon as possible, realistically 1st week of April 2019
Duration of Contract: One year, with potential to extend/upgrade subject to performance, opportunities and funding availability.
Probation Period: 3 months
Salary: Based on prior experience. Expect to take home minimum K2,000 per month.
Location: Copperbelt Province, Zambia with significant travel within the country. While the position is primarily field-based, time will be spent at WeForest’s country office near Kitwe.
Benefits: Housing allowance; Transport allowance and Lunch allowance
Hours of Work: Full-time, working Monday through Saturday morning, up to a maximum of 44 hours per week. Hours will vary depending on project needs and flexibility is essential.

- Duration of 1 year. Renewable upon meeting KPI’s
- Extensive travelling in the project area. Applicant has to be willing to reside in remote areas part-time

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- A minimum of 4 years since your drivers’ license was obtained
- A minimum of 2 years proven track record as a driver, including references
- Experience with community-based field work would be considered a significant advantage
- Demonstrable skills: Neat, punctual and polite
- Good notice of English is a plus
- Excellent team player
