Grant Manager

On behalf of WeForest Zambia Ltd., I am pleased to announce the position as grant manager for two years (01/04/2019 till 30/03/2020) has now become available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will include the following:

• Manage existing donor-funded project relationships
• Conduct and lead proper M&E, as well as reporting
• Apply for grant applications
• Train current staff in grant applications and donor-oriented communication (incl. M&E).

WE OFFER

Your compensation package will include the following:

• Monthly gross stipend of 8,000 ZMW for a full 44 hours’ work week.
• A bonus opportunity of 5% based on successful application of grant funding.
• Six weeks of paid leave annually.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: CRITERIA

• An M.Sc. in Forestry, Forest ecology and conservation or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (both speaking and writing)
• Minimum of 1 years relevant work experience in forest restoration, management and conservation in a developing world context, preferably in Sub-Sahara Africa
• Experience with community-based forest conservation and management would be considered a significant advantage
• Demonstrable skills: Excellent management, coordination, training, reporting and communication skills
• Flexible in terms of traveling and living conditions
• Excellent team player
• Track record in donor-funding and grant applications
