Yalelo is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and hard-working individual to work as a Senior ICT Specialist.

The Senior ICT Specialist will manage the help desk function, systems, networks, servers and databases.

The ideal candidate will focus on setting goals and priorities, allocating accountability among staff, managing the career development of others, liaising with professional staff and other managers, advising the business on technology related issues and engaging in medium-term planning. He/she will possess an end-to-end understanding of the organisation’s system environment and its critical elements that need to be actively managed to ensure service levels are met.

The Right-Fit candidate must have:

•  Experience working with various operating systems (iOS, Ubuntu Server, RedHat, Windows Server 2012, Windows Desktop; 7, 8, 10,)
• Experience with computer networking; firewalling, routing and switching
• Experience with or knowledge with SQL scripting
• Experience with trouble ticket management using ticketing tools such as MAXIMO, REMEDY, ZENDESK, etc. current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring
• Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing software solutions
• Project management experience

The Essentials:

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in ICT support;
  Professional certification(s) such as CCNA, CompTiA+, etc. are a plus
• Proven experience in Network Configuration, Administration and Maintenance
• Proven experience in Applications Support and Enhancement
• Experience in setting and managing budgets
• Excellent knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change Management
• Hands-on desktop support experience
• People management experience
• Experience in producing analytical reports
• Holder of a valid Driving License
