Description

The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency (ZCSA) is a body corporate created by the Compulsory Standards Act No. 3 of 2017 whose mandate is to inter alia administer, maintain and ensure compliance with compulsory standards.

The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced staff to fill the vacant positions of Head Driver and Driver.

1) HEAD DRIVER (1)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To Supervise effectively, the allocation and utilization of vehicles to staff and assignments in order to meet the requirements of the departments
  • To supervise effectively, the repair and servicing of all vehicles in order to keep them in road worthy conditions
  • To regularly supervise, the cleaning of the Agency vehicles to ensure they are in a clean state.
  • To supervise effectively, the maintenance of vehicles log, insurance and licenses in order to facilitate accountability and compliance to statutory requirements.
  • To timely supervise the development of individual work plans and implementation of Annual Performance Appraisal System (APAS) in order to monitor, evaluate performance.
  • To supervise effectively, the utilization of human, financial and material resources in order to facilitate achievement of objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • Diploma in transport and Logistics or its equivalent
  • 4 years’ work experience
  • Possession of a drivers License of not less than 2years.
  • Must be able to write reports
  • Must be of sober character
  • Must be computer literate

2) DRIVER (1)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To Drive safely and regularly the Agency’s  vehicles on official business in order to facilitate operations
  • To update timely and accurately log books in order to enhance accountability for official trips
  • Checks regularly vehicles in order to ascertain their road worthiness
  • Checks regularly vehicles in order to ascertain their road worthiness
  • Prepares timely accidents reports in order to facilitate decision making
  • Undertakes effectively the preparation of work plans and implementation of the Annual Performance Appraisal system (APAS) in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance

B) QUALIFICATIONS,EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Possession of a SADC Driver’s License
  • 2 years’ work experience
  • Ability to write reports
  • Able to communicate in English
  • Integrity
  • Initiative
  • Must be of sober character
