JOB SPECIFICATION
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Telecommunications or Equivalent
 
Professional Registration:
- Member of EIZ
 
Minimum Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in CORE Network, 2G/3G/4G Radio Network, Power Systems and protocols including SIP, SIGTRAN, SS7, MAP and MTP3 H.248
 - Should have a proven track record of solving very complex Telecoms problems independently. The record should be in the form of a recommendation from a senior officer.
 
Key Skills:
- Familiar and excellent understanding for Core Network Structure, 2G/3G/4G technology and Power System design.
 - Ability to understand/troubleshoot call flow across end to end infrastructure. (radio access, power, and core networks)
 - Knowledge of IMS Core network elements
 - Applies broader knowledge of standards to work assignments
 - Familiar with Fixed and mobile technology equipment, hierarchy and Flow
 - Has Sound understanding of several specific ZAMTEL technologies/systems/procedures.
 - Enhances his/her technical knowledge through continuous learning
 - Good knowledge of power system diagnosis, optimization and upgrades of telecom equipment.
 - Fully proficient with system integration, testing and reconfiguration of Core & Radio network elements such as MSC, MGw, HSS, EPC, RNC, BSC
 - Working knowledge of networking topologies (Layer 1, 2 & Layer 3)
