With a strategic plan to produce more than 1 million tonnes per annum of copper within five years, the Company is poised to become the largest, widely-held pure-play copper producer and one of the top five copper producers in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support compliance with all statutory, FQM sentinel standards and procedures, through development of equipment strategic operation.
  • Ensure risks are identified and managed and a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with all statutory obligations.
  • Ensure all registered equipment operating in the mine is fully complaint with statutory regulations.
  • Ensure all statutory inspections are included in the area yearly plans and oversee and develop the maintenance information system to ensure that data collection and validation supports operating and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure statutory inspections are completed according to schedule.
  • Providing reliability and engineering support for RNO electrical departments to improve electrical equipment availability in order to achieve the strategic plans and objectives of the business.
  • Developing and coordinating plant condition monitoring and inspection programs, making full use of available advances in Risk Based Integrity management system and standards.
  • Provide engineering support to electrical departments
  • Initiate failure analysis and support to the electrical department
  • Approve SWI’s and make sure it complies with Zambian statutory regulations.
  • To keep all electrical drawing updated/ review

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent field experience in mine site maintenance and project managemnet

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in the use of a recognised CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Must be computer literate i.e Ms Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Must have good communication skills in English language with an emphasis on writing skills
  • At least 5 years maintenance engineering experience in the mining/mineral processing industry
  • Relevant field experience in mine site maintenance and project management.
