1. JOB TITLE: FREELANCE MARKETERS

This position needs marketing knowledge and Business operational management skills. The ability to contribute significantly to the increase of the Centre business through strategic marketing of the facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the marketing plans in liaison with  the marketing team
  • Develop and execute the  advertising strategy, social media and database marketing
  • Develop and manage customer service programmes designed to improve customer retention and deliver consistently positive service to various stakeholders both internal and external
  • Responsible for the promotion of the OYDC lodge, conference and sports facilities
  • Identify and attract program sponsors
  • Create and sell sports marketing platforms utilizing all media elements: internet, T.V, radio, direct, events, etc. to market OYDC
  • Generate new sponsorship revenue by identifying and prioritizing prospective corporate sponsors and partners through various channels
  • Compiling and distributing financial and statistical information

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree  in Marketing or full  professional qualification  in marketing
  • Minimum three  years’ work experience in marketing/ Freelance marketing
  • Proven skills in information, communication, networking, advocacy and ability to relate to mass media
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas, as well as to impart knowledge and teach skills.
  • Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
  • The position is commission based with a guaranteed minimal amount subject to subsequent performance.

2. JOB TITLE: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (IT)

To be responsible for all Information, Communication Technology aspects of the OYDC. IT officer will monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of OYDC. You will be installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical support to staff and other users of OYDC on IT matters
  • Operate the OYDC Business Centre including Internet, printing, photocopying and other services
  • Produce and submit monthly activity reports
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or Diploma in IT studies or related field
  • Significant relevant experience

3. JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE OFFICER

The jobholder will be qualified in a relevant trade such as Electrical, building, plumbing, and carpentry or facility maintenance and will be responsible for maintaining all OYDC facilities and equipment. Performing regular maintenance practices on property and equipment reduces the occurrence of workplace accidents and lengthens the lifespan of the property and equipment. You will be expected to conduct maintenance and repair work on these assets, as well as to keep accurate records of all maintenance practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance checks to all facility and equipment
  • Ensure open green spaces are properly landscaped and maintained.
  • Ensure all outdoor and indoor sports facilities  are cleaned and well maintained
  • Securing and accounting for all equipment and other items in line of their use
  • Ensure the day-to-day smooth management and operations of infrastructures and grounds deliver through administrative support functions and overseeing maintenance tasks.
  • Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
  • Coordinating and leading one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility
  • Directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as maintenance, mail, archiving and contractors
  • Supervise staff in facility
  • Work in liaison with other staff to ensure appropriate use of facility and equipment
  • Work in liaison with other staff to ensure safe storage and accountability of equipment, furniture and other resources.
  • Carry out facility and other asserts routine and preventive maintenance activities
  • Generate and submit relevant reports

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Trade Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Engineering or Building Services or Architecture or related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in related field
  • Strong practical and technical skills are integral to the effectiveness of this job
  • Good analytical skills to assess various properties and equipment and detect potential safety hazards.
  • Complex problem-solving skills to address challenges such as contractor incompetence.
  • Other useful skills include decision-making, critical thinking and time-management.

4. JOB TITLE: HEAD CHEF

To be responsible for all food production including that used for restaurants, banquet functions and other outlets. Develop and monitor food and labor budget for the department. Also able to maintain highest professional food quality and sanitation standards. Will oversee and manage and work closely with other cooks, create menu items (shopping list/market list) and determine food inventory needs as well as cost the menus for each function.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Staffing of the kitchen, developing menu offerings, forecasting supply needs and estimating costs.
  • They are expected to make sure the restaurant meets all regulations, including sanitary and safety guidelines.
  • Creation of recipes and the preparation of advanced items
  • Continued efficiency of the kitchen and production of consistent, quality food.
  • But duties also extend to operational issues, including accounting and scheduling.
  • Because they are held accountable for the success and failure of a restaurant, head chefs need to work long hours to ensure that the restaurant is functioning properly at all times. They work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Develop menus, food purchase specifications and recipes
  • Schedules and coordinates the work of chefs, cooks and other kitchen employees to assure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted labor cost goals.
  • Safeguards all food preparation employees by implementing training to increase their knowledge about safety, sanitation and accident prevention principles.
  • Develops standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs; exercises portion control for all items served and assists in establishing menu selling prices.
  • Prepares necessary data for applicable parts of the budget; projects annual food, labor and other costs and monitors actual financial results; takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that financial goals are met.
  • In conjunction with management team, assist in maintaining a high level of service principles in accordance with established standards.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree/Diploma in Food Production or Catering and Hotel management

Three years’ experience as a head Chef

5. JOB TITLE: DRIVER

Ensure smooth logistical operations of OYDC transport through driving and maintenance of vehicles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the routine maintenance of assigned vehicles on a regular basis
  • Ensuring that the logbook of the vehicles is accurately maintained
  • Maintaining files and all relevant transport administrative forms.
  • Implementing all mechanics and drivers instructions as issued periodically by the Head driver.
  • Driving official vehicles
  • Ensuring vehicle cleanliness
  • Exercise high levels of confidentiality
  • Securing the property of the OYDC and  staff when loaded on the vehicle as assigned
  • Observing all traffic rules and being personally liable for all traffic offenses
  • Ensuring the safety of staff and officials when driving

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a PSV Drivers License
  • Have experience in driving Germany Vehicles, Buses, and Manual cars
  • 5 years’ Experience
  • Must have a grade twelve Certificate

6. JOB TITLE: GYM INSTRUCTOR

To provide excellent customer service in all areas of the gym environment, ensuring the highest possible standard of service. Offer professional high quality fitness advice and instruction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide providing fitness advice, inductions and suitable training programmes for all our gym members.
  • You will be responsible for the smooth and safe operation and customer satisfaction within the gym environment.

  • Experience in the  fitness industry
