A reputable compay in Lusaka is inviting Qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of Head Chef to oversee their various restaurants and Events Centres within Lusaka.

Responsibilities:

• To control and manage the food cost in line with the budget and source ingredients, Menu planning etc.
• Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
• Checking freshness of food and ingredients
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers
• Keep up with industry trends and create new recipes
• Monitor labor costs
• Conduct menu planning
• Train, and supervise comis chefs and other food preparation workers
• Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
• Knowledge Of Catering Hygiene and Safety Requirements
• Skills To Apply Appropriate Culinary Standards and Procedures
• Ability To Manage, Motivate and Monitor a Team
• Personality Innovative, Creative,  Honest,  Mature

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma in Hotel Management or Advanced Certificate in Food Production
• Minimum of 10 years work experience as a Chef in a full service restaurant
• 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
