Emerging Cooking Solutions (Zambia) Limited, trading as “SupaMoto”, is a Zambian/Swedish joint venture, introducing clean burning modern cook-stoves, renewable cooking fuel pellets made from waste biomass and solar home systems. Our locally produced pellets are cheaper than charcoal and the cooking solution performs similar to a gas stove. Our solar home systems have a built in Pay as You Go (PAYGO)-mechanism and almost all payments for our products are made through Mobile Money. Our company has over 50 staff and is growing rapidly since our solution is unique and we are one of the first movers on a virgin market for renewable home energy. The positive environmental, socio-economic and macro-level impact of our solutions is immense. We truly have a solution for the dilemma of rapid deforestation and disproportionately high cooking fuel costs for low-income people.

Title: Agent Training and Development Intern

Reports to: CX, Impact and Training Officer

Job Purpose: The role of the Agent Training and Development intern is to assist in conducting and planning of effective training sessions for sales agents and the sales team.

Duties:

  • Onboard new sales representatives and agents – orientation to sales process, system training.
  • Determine training needs for sales agents and sales team – done through field observations.
  • Conduct training sessions and evaluations for field agents with support from sales representatives and managers.
  • Improve training effectiveness.
  • Scan and file all new agent agreements.
  • Will be involved in projects and research programs involving the SupaMoto Agent Network.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Onboard new sales representatives and agents – orientation to sales process, system training.
  • Enthusiasm.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Passion for continuous learning.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Able to develop and work with a workplan and deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary education in any related field.
  • Full Grade 12 certificate with a minimum of 5 credits.
  • Previous internship or voluntary work experience.
  • Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
